Are the Mets Manny's "Mystery Team?"

Here's what Frank Della Femina of NJ.com is reporting:

Manny Ramirez rejected a one-year, $25 million offer by the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday, according to this report on LATimes.com. Agent Scott Boras has hinted that his client is generating interest from other teams, including the Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants and New York Mets.

While the Mets are rumored in the mix, they may not be willing to meet Ramirez's asking price:

The New York Mets, San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals are among the teams known to be monitoring Ramirez's situation but don't appear inclined to pay him more than $20 million a season.
